The First Titanium Sinn: 8820
No, this isn’t a Tudor P01. It’s something a little cooler, though I love the unique Black Bay. Sinn, the marque synonymous with tough-as-nails, legible tool watches, had to start somewhere. Granted, this isn’t the start of Sinn. It isn’t even the start of Sinn tool watches. But it is the first titanium watch. This humble 200m diver with its offset crown set a mould. Titanium is the material of choice for not just modern Sinn divers, but nearly their entire range. This first 8820 is a relatively rare and seriously attractive alternative to something like a Pelagos or Planet Ocean. In a sea of ubiquitous desk divers, this purposeful 90s beauty is a breath of fresh air.
