The Octa Calendrier was the world’s first annual calendar with retrograde date, which won the ‘Special Jury Prize’ at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the year of its release. The first FP Journe to receive an award from the GPHG. Made from 2002 until 2014, the model is esoteric and distinct, one of the most technically competent but also artful interpretations of the annual calendar which has ever been attempted. Its 241 component calibre 1300.3 offers a 5 day reserve, ample hand finishing, and full annual calendar complication within the proportionally unchanged 40mm Octa case. It is complicated, proportionally refined, aesthetically elegant, and daring: the very core of François-Paul showing through in his work, full of the personality so many seek in independent watchmaking.
