25860ST, Tropical Dial ‘Kasparov’ Royal Oak Chronograph, Steel

Sold

A ref. 25860ST, the first Royal Oak to feature a chronograph. This early D-series example stands out for its astonishing dial, a gradient-tropical petite tapisserie. The 25860 is better known by the name ‘Kasparov’, as chess grandmaster Gary Kasparov chose to wear one throughout the 90s and early 2000s. The 25860 maintains the original proportions of the 39mm Jumbo Royal Oak case, thanks to what was then the world’s thinnest self-wound chronograph calibre. It is the way the Royal Oak Chronograph was always meant to look, a more refined proportion than anything which came before or after.
