1832, Ingenieur SL, Steel

$32,000

A ref. 1832 Ingenieur SL, the final entrant to the famous 1970s ‘Jumbo’ trilogy of Genta designs, alongside the Royal Oak and Nautilus. The 1832 is a highly technical and robust sports watch, significantly more ambitious than its peers. It features an antimagnetic calibre with rubber shock absorbers inside of a Faraday cage, incorporating shock, magnetic, and 120m water resistance. It is the only watch of the trilogy to have a running seconds hand, set over a black guilloché with tritium applied indices. Despite its ambitious specifications and Genta design, the 1832 was not a commercial success for IWC. It was only ever produced in 598 examples across all metals.
