I’m not sure a boutique opening has ever been celebrated with such style. To celebrate the opening of the Dubai Boutique, Journe released 99 examples of fan-favorite Chronometre Souverain in a brilliantly unusual green. Although it was certainly the year of the green dial, this one simply hits a little different. In Dubai, this shade of green is said to be representative of fortune and fertility, whatevs. I’m certainly feeling lucky just having the chance to highlight this beauty.
I often find myself most deeply attracted to brand’s more simplistic offerings and Journe’s Chronometre Souverain is no exception. This recent example sports a characteristic 18K rose gold movement with côtes de genève, mirrored anglage, chamfered slotting, and a circularly grained baseplate. The extra-flat calibre 1304 delivers an impressive 56 hours of reserve through dual barrels. Its bright dial is contrasted by a platinum case and matched strap. The whole package is distinct and much more flamboyant than the traditional modern Journes you may be more familiar with.
This example is straight grey market, unworn as far as I can tell. It comes with stickers removed but a full set from an extremely reputable retailer.
